Complete history of our company

1993

In 1993 the company mainly focused on the deliveries of accommodation capacities for refugees to Germany,  in close co-operation with the Dutch company RECO.

1994

Thanks to an advertising campaign, broad-based marketing and participation in building fairs, our company successfully managed to establish its position in the Czech marketplace as early as in 1994 and nowadays belongs among three most sought out in this field. Since 1994, our company also started with leasing a complete production assortment, including sanitary containers and full assemblies of structures.

1995

Our company also started to dramatically seek out eastern markets in Russia and Kazakhstan.

1996

As the first in its line of business in Moravia, our company received a quality certificate from the German company MPA LGA Nuremberg. Manufacturing of our products is further monitored by this company and we still maintain top class quality.

1997

At the Brno International Building Fair, our company introduced a new product, a Folding Articulated Unit, which was built as a result of our own design and development department. Construction system of this folding container is under patent protection (patent # 285426).

1998

In 1998 our company was awarded, among others, a few important government contracts (a refugee camp in Vyšní Lhoty, delivery of a field kitchens for SFOR). This year also saw the start of manufacturing of our affiliate in Russia, KOMA-EKSK, whose products are fully certified for the Russian market. This affiliate company intends to fully satisfy the needs of western companies extending their operations on Russian territory. Our company is aware of the ever-increasing customers' demands and, hand in hand with technological progress, constantly innovates its products.

1999

Our company still realizes ever-increasing customers' demands and, hand in hand with technological progress, constantly innovates its products. Fire safety tests proved the required fire resistance of our products. Manufacture of the M-module prototypes was completed and the first building made of these brand new construction modules was assembled. Our company is owner of an M-modules utility model, registration No. CZ 9523.

2000

In April the company presents its new modular system to customers at the Brno International Building  Fair and during this year completed construction of buildings made of spatial modules - extension of motor  show office buildings, Orga company office building, German embassy in Uzbekistan - Tashkent, etc., Gold Medal.

2001

KOMA company made a significant break-through as a supplier of modular systems for McDonald's, both in Czech Republic and in Central Europe as well - McDonald's Ostrava, McDonald's NL. By doubling the number of structures held in the leased park system, KOMA ranked in the forefront of leasing companies in Czech Republic - IPS Hranice, Linde.

2002

The company Koma s. r.o. was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 STANDARD CERTIFICATE on 29 November 2002. The company strives to achieve a profile of modular systems specialist and is completing restaurants of modular systems in v Bratislava, Mladá Boleslav and Olomouc. An "indestructible" container has been developed to be used in heavy-duty operations.

2003

This is the year when the company is stabilized, and teamwork commences. The company starts implementing its information system. The company supplies stackable CF modular units for Iraq's renewal. The company is becoming a leader in modular construction in Czech Republic. We are also providing bakery facilities for LIDL as well as petrol stations. Also, housing facilities and change / locker rooms for SHELL drill platforms are supplied. The year also sees the incorporation of the KOMA RENT Company in Prague.

2004

That year, we have concluded implementation of the information system. We have built the largest modular building in Europe for the Zentiva Company, sold shares in KOMA EKSK.  We've built facilities for the enlargement project of Prague's Ruzyne Airport (Hochtief, Metrostav). We provided mobile sanitary facilities for the Public Transit Company in Berlin.

2005

Innovation in the standard modular unit takes place - standard fabrication of frames made from galvanized sheet metal. We introduced innovation in sanitary units - standard toilet partitions are made from high-pressure laminate. The selection is enlarged by the addition of cladding for modular units - aluminium boards, ceramic tiles, cement boards, stucco, corrugated sheet metal, plastic cladding, high pressure laminates, flexible brick, etc. We have started providing modules for LIDL and sanitary modules for  VIPs in the World Soccer Championship in 2006. An independent company KOMA SLOVAKIA in Nitra was incorporated in 2005.

2006

Supply of exclusive sanitary containers for VIP guests at the World Cup in Football in Germany for the  world-renowned company TOI-TOI & DIXI. Penetration of northern markets by supplies of special housing and sanitary containers internally labeled C3W. Realization of structures with special sheeting. Announcement of the first annual Architecture Contest for Students Studying Architecture and Building.

2007

Innovation of a C3V container with fully variable walls and partitions. Completion of construction  of a new production hall with a modern paint-shop, double production capacity in the Vizovice plant. Establishment of position of leader in the field of modular construction in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, establishment of expert position in the field of sanitary container manufacturing.
Announcement of the 2nd year of Architectural Competition for architecture and civil engineering students.

2008

Development of a folding container with replaceable walls, type C3VF. Honourable Mention for  container C3V at the CONECO International Construction Fair in Bratislava. Completion of phase 3 of the plant revitalization by building a new production and logistics centre. Announcement of the Third Annual Architectural Competition for students of architecture and civil engineering - Modular nursery schools.

2009

The innovative company of Zlín region
Implementation of the first modular kindergarten in the Czech Republic
Supply of twenty-two classrooms school in 7 weeks for the earthquake-affected Italian city L´Aquila

2010

Placing the low-energy module M3 on the market
Obtaining the Golden Plaque and the Golden Leonard at CONECO 2010 fair in Bratislava and Honorable Mention at IBF in Brno.
A major partner of the event "Crossroads of Architecture", with theme the modular architecture in Prague

2011

Announcement of the 5th anniversary annual architectural competition for students of architecture and young architects with the theme of a modular architecture. The General Partner Conference in the International Fair in Bratislava entitled: Modular architecture in the city of the 21st century.
